Re-homing a stray dog

All stray dogs collected by the Animal Warden are held in kennels for seven days waiting for the owner to claim it. After the seven days has expired the kennels will then try to re-home the dog.

Before re-homing, the kennel staff may visit the home of the potential owner to ensure that they are able to look after the dog properly. The dog will also be microchipped with the new owners details. Contact West End Kennels on 01449 737641.

Other kennels within the area are:

  • RSPCA - 01284 703807
  • Dogs Trust, Snetterton - 01953 498377
  • Woodgreen, Godmanchester - 08701 904090
