Cats Generally, the Animal Warden does not deal with cats. The warden may be able to offer advice on deterring cats from your garden, although does not have any powers to deal with your neighbours cats if it fouls in your garden. The warden cannot collect stray or feral cats and cannot take them in for re-homing. For further advice please contact:

Other animals, lost or found Currently, St Edmundsbury Borough Council only have a statutory duty to collect stray dogs. If you find any other stray animals such as rabbits or cats please contact the RSPCA for advice on collection. You may also want to report your lost or found animal to the Animal Warden for information or reporting only.

Talks and promotion on Responsible Pet Ownership If you have a club or group within the St Edmundsbury Borough area and would like the Animal Warden to give a talk, please do not hesitate to contact the warden on 01284 757058. The Animal Warden also promotes responsible pet ownership at local events such as Nowton Fair and the Haverhill Big Day Out.

Dangerous dogs The Animal Warden and the Police can investigate allegations of dangerous dogs under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
