The Replacement St Edmundsbury Borough Local Plan identifies land at Vinefields Farm off Eastgate Street, Bury St Edmunds for housing development and recreational open space.The borough council has produced a concept statement which sets out the planning requirements for the allocated site and will provide a basis for the approval of the ensuing masterplan.
Consultation on the draft concept statement lasted for 4 weeks and ended on 25 May 2007.
All comments received were summarised and this summary together with the Council’s response was reported to the council’s Sustainable Development Panel (report Y139 (PDF 135Mb)) together with any proposed changes to the concept statement. The final adopted concept statement was approved at the council’s Sustainable Development Panel on 24 July 2007.
