The Big Tidy Up

The Big Tidy Up logoThis September, Keep Britain Tidy is launching England’s first ever Big Tidy Up - the country’s biggest ever clean up. St Edmundsbury Borough Council and Forest Heath District Council are encouraging as many people as possible to get involved.

We are encouraging individuals, groups, schools and businesses to carry out a clean up in their local area to help keep our borough clean. We will provide litter picks, sacks and hi-visibility jackets and will pick-up the bags of rubbish after you have finished.

If you would like to get involved all you need to do is contact us on 01284 757320 or log on at www.thebigtidyup.org to register. By registering Keep Britain Tidy will send tidy up kits containing tabard bibs, refuse sacks, a guide, posters to promote your clean up, badges, and stickers.

We would like to see whether businesses wish to get involved too. Local businesses can either arrange their own tidy ups or sponsor an event. For more information, please call 01284 757320.

The campaign will launch on 1 September 2008 and we want to encourage as many people as possible to get involved.
