Street lights

Street lights are owned and managed by Suffolk County Council except footway or amenity lighting which is owned by St Edmundsbury Borough Council or your parish council.

If you find any faulty light, it can be reported on freephone number - 0845 6066067. To help locate the light and repair it as quickly as possible, please have the following information available:

  • the number of the lighting unit - this will be a number painted on the light column, or plastic board fixed to it;
  • the location of the light; and
  • the type of fault.

For more information on street lights, please call a member of the Engineering Services Team on 01284 757319 or email: engserv@stedsbc.gov.uk
