Zone F: Southgate Street area neighbourhood parking permit scheme
Following a review of the Zone F permit scheme which operates in the Southgate Corridor area of Bury St Edmunds, changes to the scheme were proposed. A Traffic Regulation Order has been drafted to introduce the changes which include restricting most of the bays to permit holders only and making other bays limited waiting only during the hours of operation of the scheme. These changes will allow the permit bays to be enforced by the council's parking attendants to improve enforcement and the operation of the scheme. The introduction of these measures takes into account the need for some limited waiting parking for the use of local business customers and others visiting the area.
