Bury St Edmunds constituency result for the election held on 6 May 2010

David Ruffley was elected as the Conservative MP for the Bury St Edmunds constituency with 27,899 votes (45.7%). his majority was 12,380 and the turnout was 58,718 (69.3%).

  • David Chappell (Liberal Democrat) 15,519 votes (26.4%)
  • Kevin Hind (Labour) 9,776 votes (16.6%)
  • John Howlett (UK Independence Party) 3,003 votes (5.1%)
  • Mark Ereira-Guyer (Green) 2,521 votes (4.3%)
