Neighbourhood parking schemes are designated areas allowing residents to park in streets near their homes by purchasing a permit. There are currently eight residents parking schemes in Bury St Edmunds and one in Haverhill.

You are eligible to apply for a permit if your residential address is within one of the zones. Please check the Terms and conditions for eligibility. Some schemes allow two permits per household where there are sufficient parking spaces. Disabled badge holders are eligible for a free permit. Senior citizens living in a neighbourhood parking area, who do not own a car, can apply for a free permit for use by their visitors (see terms and conditions).

If you would like more detailed advice please phone our Highways section on 01284 757335.
