St Edmundsbury welcomes external challenge through independent inspections as the results help us to improve our performance.
This external challenge comes from the Audit Commission and Benefit Fraud Inspectorate. Inspectors send us reports following their investigations and we put improvement plans into action to tackle any weaknesses they identify.
Key services are measured both by the Audit Commission and ourselves to check how we compare to other councils and how our performance is improving. These are called performance indicators.
