St Edmundsbury is also responsible for the maintenance of ten closed churchyards.
Cemetery opening times
The cemeteries in the borough are open every day of the year including Bank Holidays and Christmas Day.
- April to September 8am to 7pm
- October to March 8.30am to 4.30pm
Vehicle access
Apart from vehicles attending funeral services, vehicular access into the sites is restricted to Blue Badge holders only.
General information
Both cemeteries offer a tranquil setting with many mature trees and flower beds and natural havens for wildlife. There are areas set aside for the interment of coffins and cremated remains. There are also separate areas for the burial of babies and young children in Haverhill Cemetery. There is a chapel for services of any denomination at each cemetery.
