Each year, following the Annual Meeting of the Council, the Cabinet produces an annual report in which it reviews the progress it has made against its commitments for the previous year, and sets commitments and key activities for the coming year. The report also includes details of the different portfolios within the Cabinet for that year and, when it becomes available, the summary of the annual accounts is added.
While it is at the draft stage the Leader of the Council presents the report to the Overview and Scrutiny Committee and Policy Development Committees. Both committees have the opportunity to discuss the report. As a result a number of changes are generally made before the final version is adopted by the Cabinet at its June meeting.
