Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA) 2007

A comprehensive look at St Edmundsbury

Every council in the country is looked at in detail by independent inspectors from the Audit Commission. The process is called Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA) because it is a detailed look at everything we do. It is similar to Ofsted inspections in schools, or the NHS's star ratings in hospitals.

St Edmundsbury was inspected in September 2004 and rated by the Audit Commission as 'good'. A further inspection will be carried out in October 2007 and we have prepared a self assessment which looks at our performance since the last time the inspectors visited us.
