Sometimes we may need to open a grave to take a second or third burial. To do this, we may also have to move nearby memorials.
There are several reasons for moving nearby memorials:
- to gain access to another grave;
- to protect the memorial from damage; or
- to protect our workers from potential health and safety risks.
Because this work needs to be carried out at short notice, and to avoid delays to funerals, we may not give notice.
