An appeal has gone out to Santa's little helpers living in the Bury St Edmunds area.
The organisers of the three day Bury Christmas Fayre, 23-25 November, are looking for an elf to help Santa in his grotto in the Abbey Gardens.
The successful candidate will need to be available on the afternoon of Friday 23 November and between 10.30am and 5pm the following two days.
Organiser Sharon Fairweather said: "Even elves are probably feeling the pinch in the run up to Christmas, so although this is only a temporary job it should be perfect for someone who would like to earn some spending money.
"Elves usually help Santa make toys and look after his reindeer, but we only need someone to help him hand out presents and make sure everyone is having a good time," she added.
"Applicants don't need to rush out and buy a new outfit as we can supply a costume."
Anyone who would like to be considered for this seasonal post should contact Sharon Fairweather at the Bury St Edmunds Tourist Information Centre on 01284 764667 or email Sharon.fairweather@stedsbc.gov.uk
The Bury St Edmunds Christmas Fayre is expected to attract about 100,000 visitors. A leaflet with details of parking, the park and ride service, shops with special offers, the entertainment programme and venues for the 300 stalls is available from the tourist office, Bury Bus Station and Moyse's Hall Museum.
