Benjamin Grosvenor has been described as the most important British pianist to emerge in decades, and for very good reasons

Last year, having just turned nineteen, Benjamin performed with the BBC Symphony Orchestra on the First Night of the BBC Proms to a sold-out Royal Albert Hall, the youngest artist ever to do so.

He recently won two Gramophone Awards: 'Young Artist of the Year' and 'Instrumental Award' (for his debut Decca CD 'Chopin-Liszt-Ravel'), making him the youngest musician to be a double-Award Winner; not only that, he also scooped the Critics' Award at the Classical Brit Awards 2012, as recently seen on ITV hosted by Myleene Klaas.

Ever since winning the keyboard section of the BBC Young Musician of the Year at the age of 11, Benjamin has stunned and impressed critics and audiences, becoming internationally recognized for his electrifying performances, and one of the most sought-after young pianists in the world for his exquisite technique and ingenious flair for tonal colour.

"To call such playing that of a master-pianist will invite accusation of exaggeration and hyperbole – but what else can I say?" - Bryce Morrison.

In 2011 Benjamin signed to Decca Classics, and in doing so has become the youngest British musician ever to sign to the label, and the first British pianist to sign to the label in almost 60 years.

Benjamin has also been featured on CNN's 'Human to Hero', appeared on BBC breakfast, has received 'The Queen's commendation for excellence' and the 2012 'Critics' Circle' Music Award for Exceptional Young Talent.
