The Battle of Britain commemoration is taking place on Angel Hill, Bury St Edmunds, this Sunday morning:

Abbey Gardens closed until 1pm on Sunday 16 September.

Angel Hill closed for parking from 2.30pm on Saturday 15 September (closed early for the St Nicholas Moonwalk overnight)

Angel Hill closed to traffic from 10am to 2.30pm
The occasion commences at 9.30am with a short service led by the Royal British Legion at the war memorial, Angel Hill, Bury St Edmunds.
At 10.35am troops from RAF Honington, veterans and cadets will parade from the Abbey Gardens to St Mary's Church, for a service commencing at 11am.
At 10.45am the Mayor and Civic Procession will leave the Athenaeum and process to St Mary's Church.
At the end of the service the parade forms up in the great Churchyard, parades up Honey Hill, and onto Angel Hill for a march past, salute taken by Station Commander, RAF Honington, Group Captain Andy Hall. Parade leads off into Abbey Gardens and dismisses.
This will be followed by a reception at Athenaeum for guests.
