The apex has been named as one of the top 100 venues in the country from a list of 7000 compiled by PRS for Music.
Since opening in October 2010 The apex has gone from strength to strength growing its programme to support various musical genres and achieving many awards for its stunning design and architecture together with accolades from artists and bands alike for its impressive facilities and acoustics. This passion for live music and entertainment has now seen The apex placed 79th in the rankings compiled by PRS for Music as part of their recent research programme.
Tony Doherty, Venue Director said 'The apex team have worked hard to establish the venue as a significant national touring venue and this latest accolade reflects those efforts positioning us as the top venue for music in the region. We are delighted that we have reached such a high pinnacle in a relatively short period and look forward to further growth of our reputation in the months and years ahead'.
PRS (the Performing Rights Society) for Music licenses live performances at 7000 venues in the UK and tracks music and live trends. Their team either collects set lists directly from the venues or attends concerts to do so to ensure that members who created the music are paid their royalties.
