For the first time all the events organised by St Edmundsbury Borough Council – from concerts and festivals to events in the parks and museums – have been brought together in one leaflet and on a new leisure website.
The Out and About 2012 leaflet is available from the Tourist Information Centre, the council's parks and museums and the apex, as well as libraries and the cathedral. Some copies are also being delivered through letterboxes and the calendar was included in the council's magazine, Community Spirit, to reach as many homes as possible.
The leaflet lists events planned throughout the summer and autumn across the borough – many of which are free, or free to people with a Heritage Ticket.
The council's Heritage Ticket - £7.30 for an adult and £5.30 for children, with discounts for family membership – allows free entry to Moyse's Hall Museum and West Stow Anglo Saxon Village for a whole year.
Details of all the events organised by St Edmundsbury's parks and heritage services will be updated on the Out and About website so people can plan days out throughout the year: www.outandabout2012.co.uk
