Thank you to everyone who made the Olympic Torch Relay in Haverhill, Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket such a wonderful event.
Thank you to the crowds, for being so enthusiastic, welcoming and creating a marvellous atmosphere. Thank you to the Haverhill, Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket Town Councils for adding so much to the activities on the day. Thank you to the many St Edmundsbury Borough Council and Forest Heath District Council staff involved in the run-up and on the day. And a very big thank you to all the stewards, volunteers, police and others who made sure it all went smoothly and safely.
