There are seven centres in the urban areas of St Edmundsbury all providing a focal point for the community. Most centres are run by local community associations. The buildings provide the venue for a whole range of local activities such as Over 60s clubs, dance classes, local clubs and societies, health and leisure activities as well as being available to hire for parties, weddings and meetings. Most centres are run by local community associations and rely on the hard work of local volunteers.
